Morning Glory(Asagao), summer symbol in Japan. You can see Asagao fairs as seasonal function of Shinto shrines in July.

Gardening became a big fad latter half of Edo era (1750-). they got excited to make new variety of peony, hydrangea, chrysanthemum, morning glory and so on.
This one is called Edo Fuzei, means "elegance of Edo culture".
Cool, sharp and stylish. Exactly it stands for Edo culture.
