扇が谷(おうぎがやつ)の風情のよい通り「今小路」。その道沿いに１９８４年にopenした「手作りの店 朋」は、障害者の地域作業所や授産施設の製品の販売を目的として開業しました。
開業のきっかけは、「全国障害者とともに歩む兄弟姉妹の会」で進めていた、障害者の社会参加支援の一環にありました。
福祉ショップは最近は全国各地にできるようになりましたが、当店はこれらのショップの先駆的存在と なっています。
去年からカジュ祭に参加してくれている朋さんが、今年も楽しい手作り品を携えての参戦です。どうぞお楽しみに。
"Hande Made Shop TOMO" is located on the Imakoji street in Ougigayatsu.
This shop opened in 1984 for economical support of disable people They deal in hand made crafts, daily goods and organic foods from vocational-training facilities all over Japan, and many fair-traded imports.
Actually TOMO's philosophy and their system to support disable people became the first model for the following same kind of shops in Japan.
