「こんなのほしかったのー!」と、手にした者にもれなく思わせちゃう、器たち。そう、もう10年以上カジュ祭にご出品いただいている野村さんの陶器は、生活者の視点でつくられた、使いやすいものばかり。だから、すぐ売り切れになります。
「普段使いに、おもてなしに。主張せずとも雰囲気のある使い勝手のいい器を作っています。どんな器が出来上がるのか、自分でも窯から出すまでわかりません。」とはご本人の弁。
器は「その先」を想像させるものが、長くつきあえるポイント。
私の食器棚は70%ぐらいが美恵子作品。毎日のあんなお料理、こんな漬け物、そんな汁物をそっと包んでくれています。
トラーベ・アート・フェスティバル2007 in 鎌倉の時は、お金のない実行委員会のために、オフィシャル・グッズ(ナイスなカップ!!)を無償で作ってくださいました。

Nomura Mieko is a respetable potter. She is one of the original members of Khaju Spring Festival since more than ten years ago.
At Trave Art Festival 2007 in Kamakura, she kindly created and donated many nice ceramic cups as official items.
As her potteries are full of simple beauty, any kind of foods always fit on and look so yummy...!
Every year the first day of the festival, more than the half potteries of all are sold out.
